Frequently asked questions
I am a teacher from a Scottish school wishing to participate in Create a Campaign. Some students in my S1-4 classes will have a birthday between the launch and the closing date of the competition; can students who start aged 11 or finish aged 16 still participate? – Yes. As long as a student is aged between 12 and 15 at some point in the duration of the competition (4 February - 11 May) they are permitted to enter with their classmates.
My youth group is interested in participating in the competition, is this allowed? – Yes. This competition has been designed for schools, however, we will also accept entries from officially-registered youth groups (Scouts, Cadets etc) so long as participants fall into the specified age range (12-15 years) and comply with all other competition rules and regulations. Please still register your interest on the competition webpage. If you are unsure whether your youth group would be eligible to enter please contact Robyn (firstname.lastname@example.org) and she will be happy to advise.
My school would like to enter more than one team into the competition, is this allowed? - Yes. Schools may enter as many teams as they wish, however, each separate team may only enter one submission to the competition. Please note, each individual student may only be a part of one team.
I submitted my school’s entry several weeks ago and am yet to hear anything back. Is this normal? - Yes. We will endeavour to inform all schools once their entry has been received, however due to a high volume of entries this may take some time. NB. We will only be able to inform winning schools of the outcome of the competition. If you have not heard from us by early June then you can assume that on this occasion your team has been unsuccessful.
