Electrical Safety Council offers funding
The Electrical Safety Council would like to invite local Trading Standards teams, Fire and Rescue Services and other community safety bodies to apply for funding of up to £5,000 per application.
As part of the ESC’s ongoing commitment to reduce electrical-related fires in homes, this initiative will provide an opportunity for the ESC to continue to work in partnership and support electrical-related fire prevention schemes at local level that aim to influence safety standards and change behaviours to help keep people safe. The activity will also give local consumer safety bodies a further opportunity to support government’s national fire prevention campaigns.
To find out more, and to make an application, applicants can visit the ESC website at www.esc.org.uk/stakeholder/. Applications are now open until Friday 10 June 2011. Decisions on applications will be advised to applicants on, or shortly after, Thursday 30 June 2011 and we will expect funded activity to be completed by the end of February 2012.
