TSI success - Insurance Law Reform

InsuranceTSI's Civil Law Lead Officer David Sanders has been mentioned several times in a House of Lords Committee as a major influence in the defeat of three amendments which would have adversely affected a TSI-supported Bill.

The Consumer Insurance (Disclosure and Representations) Bill, as drafted by the Law Commission, is a culmination of a campaign, backed by TSI since 2010 , that has been calling for a long overdue change in archaic insurance law heavily balanced against the consumer.

Mr Sanders contaced the the Committee expressing concern over proposed amendments that had stalled the progress of the Bill through the House of Lords and risked undermining its purpose.
