Consumer Rights Act Training (2 Day)

CTSI are hosting a roadshow of free 2 day events in relation to the new Consumer Rights Act across all of the English regions, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. This 2 day training is being funded by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS). Overnight accomodation is not provided.

This training is for enforcement officers only.

There will be a limit of 5 places per authority to attend the Consumer Rights Act training. If there are more than 5 bookings for your authority, spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and any additional delegates will be transferred to a reserve list.

We will be holding a wash up course and we will try to accommodate as many people in the reserve list as possible.

Course Aim

By the end of the course, delegates will:
• have a practical understanding of consumer’s rights and
  responsibilities when buying goods, services and digital content
• have a practical understanding of the controls over the use of unfair
  terms and be able to describe the trading standards enforcement role
• have a detailed knowledge of their enforcement powers, in terms of
  what legislation they apply to and how they work in practice
• be able to describe the new Enterprise Act 2002 enforcement
  measures
• understand other measures contained within the Act.
