Paul Ramsden, Non-Executive Director (2020 to 2023)
Paul has worked in trading standards for eighteen years and became a Director of CTSI in 2014.
He has worked in large and small authorities and was formerly the Deputy Chief Executive at CTSI. For the last five years he has held the position of Chief Executive with a charity supporting carers – Carers Choices.
He is a Non-Executive Board member of TrustMark, a social enterprise set up to deliver the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) policy objective of reducing consumer detriment in the RMI sector. He has responsibilities as a Consumer Director and leading on partnerships and collaborations.
He was appointed independent person for Castle Point Borough Council as part of the public accountability agenda in 2012 and is a director of 4SX a consortium company for the voluntary sector in Essex. He is also a Director of a Trading Standards Consultancy Business – Ramsden Consultancy Services.
Paul hopes he can bring his skills and experience to assist the many challenges facing the institute supporting trading standards members across the country in these austere times.
