CTSI 2031 Vision Development
As the professional membership body for trading standards we understand the importance of ensuring the profession is prepared for the next 10 years. CTSI is developing a new vision that will take us up to our 150th anniversary in 2031, the process to develop the new vision has been endorsed by Council and they are supportive of the themes it covers.
The proposed new Vision
The new proposed vision has four themes:
- CTSI will be leading a trading standards profession that feels valued
- The sectors in which trading standards operates will feel the value CTSI adds and look to us for leadership
- CTSI will be a trusted voice and recognised for effective evidence-based policy and campaigns activity
- CTSI will have empowered staff and volunteers who feel valued and who operate within agile governance structures
These themes are explored further in the New Vision document.
Engagement plan
As a membership body it is crucial that the vision is developed collaboratively through our Branches and Sections and then more widely with key groups and stakeholders. Individual meetings will be arranged in the calendar over the next couple of months to ask specific questions to help shape the vision.
