Leading the profession over the next decade
The last decade has brought immense change to the trading standards profession. We have seen the erosion of trading standards resources, but also an increase in agility and a dynamic use of the resources available. Diversity issues have also been brought into sharp focus. As we look to the future and building a strong and diverse trading standards profession, equipped to deal with consumer and business issues in the diverse UK landscape, this is a crucial time for effective leadership and learning. This panel discussion will provide an opportunity to absorb ideas and initiatives for increased collaboration and effective use of resources and to envisage how the profession will evolve over the next decade. Focussing on the changes and challenges that leading the profession over the next decade will bring.
