Uday Dholakia, Non-Executive Director (2021 to 2024)

Uday Dholakia is an experienced Board member of regulatory bodies, with special and particular experience in simplifying and improving regulation. He champions the role of regulators along with the interests of business, consumers, employees and the environment.

As an ardent advocate of Better Regulation, Uday is passionate about promoting the UK’s regulatory landscape, as UK PLC’s foremost unique selling proposition.

Uday brings a creative and dynamic experience as Non-Executive Director, with a record of successfully delivering strategic planning and decision making, service delivery, change management, risk management and performance management. He has served at Board level in the regulatory functions of Trading Standards, Environmental Health, Electricity Distribution, Broadcasting, Policing, Planning, Aviation , better regulation at the Local Better Regulation Office (LBRO), and as lead Director on SME’s, European Commission and Diversity.
He is actively involved in building alliances between international regulators to further enhance international trade, intelligent regulation, economic development, good governance, tackling poverty, and training for regulators.
