Continuous Personal and Professional Development
CTSI is committed to empowering members of the profession, through Continuous Personal and Professional Development (CPPD). CTSI wants you to maximise your learning and development opportunities and to achieve your full potential.
Your Responsibility
As a professional you have a personal responsibility to maintain your competence. Therefore you are encouraged to participate in the Continuous Personal and Professional Development (CPPD) scheme. This also helps you fulfil your obligations under the Institute’s code of conduct.
The Purpose
The CPPD scheme has three complementary purposes:
- to enable you to develop your knowledge, skills and experience for your present role and any potential future roles
- to demonstrate to your employer that you have planned, updated and maintained your knowledge, skills and experience in a structured manner
- to provide a means for your employer to demonstrate that you are professionally competent. This information is recorded in a retrievable manner
We help our readers of the Journal of Trading Standards, by offering study modules to read and then answer a series of questions in exchange for CPPD via a downloadable certificate upon successful completion. These questions are available online and will be accessible up to a week before the next edition of the Journal is published.
CPPD Course Suggestions
CTSI would like to hear your ideas or requests for new and upcoming CPPD courses. If you feel we could cover something of interest please complete the form here.
