This Q&A session is a great opportunity to hear from the experts about best practices for the Single Use Vape Ban which will be enforced from June 2025. Learn more about the legislation and how it will affect your work alongside illicit vape and tobacco products.


About this Training Course


Who is this Course Suitable for :

This questions and answer session is aimed at all Trading Standards Professionals working for Local Authorities, particularly those working in Tobacco and Vape Control, as well as officers who will be enforcing the Single Use Vape Ban.


Sessions will be Delivered by :

CTSI Lead Officers for Tobacco and Vaping, David Hunt with support from Kate Pike and Marsha Bell.

David Hunt - CTSI Lead for Tobacco and Vaping

David works in a central London borough leading locally and regionally on Tobacco Alcohol and Vapes as well as his CTSI role. He has been active in the field of Nicotine products including vapes for over a decade and has provided training and guidance for Trading Standards Staff and Businesses for a number of years. He works alongside the MHRA on new and novel products and is a member of the expert panel on vapes.


Kate Pike - CTSI Lead for Tobacco and Vaping

Kate is Co-ordinator for Trading Standards North West and a Lead Officer for Tobacco and Vaping for the Chartered Trading Standards Institute. She supports the delivery of Operation Joseph through National Trading Standards to tackle the supply of illegal vapes, and sales of vapes to children and sits on the Vaping Expert Panel. She is responsible for co-ordinating activity and facilitating strategic development across the 24 Local Authority Trading Standards Services in the North West as well as providing support to Trading Standards Officers across the country in delivering regulation around tobacco and vaping.


Marsha Bell - CTSI Lead for Tobacco and Vaping

The course will provide information and guidance for business owners and managers on the single use vape ban, which will come into force on 1st June 2025. How this will affect products currently in the marketplace, how businesses will be expected to deal with excess stock and the responsibilities of businesses once the ban becomes effective.
