Assessor Training : New and Upskilling Level
This webinar training course is for Assessors who are new to the Qualifications Framework (QF) and intend to assess any portfolio for a candidate(s) studying within the QF.
The webinar is suitable for those who are new to assessing within the Qualification Framework (QF), right through to experienced assessors who have worked within the previous Qualification Frameworks.
COURSE SUMMARY
CONTENT - key areas will include the confirmation of:
- Understanding of the Qualification Framework (QF)
- Understanding of the Assessment Cycle
- Interpreting criteria and required activity
- What is Quality Evidence.
OUTCOMES - by the end of the course, you will:
- Have a confirmed understanding of the Qualification Framework
- Have a confirmed understanding of the Assessment Cycle
- Have a confirmed understanding of how to interpret criteria and required activity
- Be equipped with the knowledge and understanding of what comprises Quality Evidence
- Be fully aware of Portfolio Documentation.
Course Details:
- The course will be comprised of traditional style learning (e.g. presentations), coupled with practical activities (individual and groups), quick fire quizzes and questions & answer sessions.
- Assessors will review evidence, provide feedback and complete associated documentation.
- On completion of the webinar you will then be given access to the Experienced Assessor online course to complete the online assessment to be certificated as an assessor.
PLEASE NOTE : Assessors must be occupationally competent in the subject areas they will be assessing in. For example, if you are assessing a Metrology portfolio, you must be Metrology qualified and have completed the an assessor training course, the online CPPD course must be completed each year.
