How to Pay Your Subscription

If you paid by Direct Debit in 2022 you do not need to complete the forms as your payment will be automatically collected including your additional direct debit discount! Please note your mandate will show as being collected by the Trading Standards Institute. No changes required to existing mandates.

Annual, quarterly and monthly Direct Debits - 0% APR

For new or amended direct debits please note we cannot accept faxed or electronic copies. Just complete the Direct Debit form (below), tick the preferred payment method box, and return it to us by 28 February 2022 to qualify for your early payment discount. The form can be found in below in related resources. Direct Debit payments will continue to be collected by the Trading Standards Institute. No changes required to existing mandates.

Credit/Debit Card - Pay your subscription annually by Credit/Debit Card - Please note we can only take payment over the phone. (see contact details below).

NOTE: Even if you paid by this method last year you will still need to call us CTSI does not retain your payment details.

Cheque or Postal Order - Pay your subscription annually by mailing your cheque or postal order (made payable to “Chartered Trading Standards Institute” and quote your six-digit membership number on the reverse) to the Institute head office. Alternatively, you can pay by BACS using the information provided on your invoice. You will need to quote your six-digit membership number as an identifier. Under current working conditions BACS payments would be preferable. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

DISCOUNTS - If you pay by any of the methods stated above by 28 February 2022 you will pay the discounted rate shown on your renewal notice.

Other Forms – Did you know you can claim Tax Relief on your membership subscription? Please download the Tax Relief form (below) and send this to your local Tax office; you can claim up to four years payments. Information on past payments made can be obtained by contacting membership@tsi.org.uk. Please note Student and Retired members cannot claim Tax Relief on their subscriptions.
