Man convicted after selling illegal puppy to Plymouth family

A man currently living in Wales who sold an underage French Bull Dog puppy has been convicted of two offences under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 for placing an advert on Gumtree containing false information and failing to make it clear that he was acting as a trader.

Battery storage added to the Renewable Energy Consumer Code, to promote consumer protection

Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC) has today announced that its long-established Consumer Code extends to battery storage systems and other ‘related’ products typically sold alongside solar panels. RECC has registered increased interest in these products from its members, and also, regrettably, a rise in complaints citing mis-selling.

A Wirral builder has been jailed for 12 months at Liverpool Crown Court after admitting defrauding vulnerable local residents by taking money from them and then not carrying out or completing any of the work promised.
