Our Trainer/Presenter
Dr Tim Day
Dr Tim Day is CTSI Lead Officer for Doorstep Crime, Scams & Consumer Vulnerability. He has specialised in the investigation and prosecution of doorstep crime for more than 15 years. He was awarded a doctorate in 2019 for his academic work on fraud, white collar crime and doorstep crime rogue trading and has published multiple research papers in peer-reviewed academic journals in order to increase knowledge in policy and practice. He has developed a toolkit to support the Trading Standards profession in reimbursement claims under the PSR APP rules and provides support and consultancy to doorstep crime cases to both police and Trading Standards.
He is co-founder and co-director of the anti-fraud training and consultancy company Carter & Day Consultancy and provides training to Trading Standards and police on all aspects of Doorstep crime and the PSR APP rules and fraud and language.
