An In depth look at key changes:
Friday 2 October 10.00 - 12.00

This session for Officers will cover those parts of the Tobacco and Vapes Act which come into force on the 29^th October including age of sale for all vapes and nicotine products, vending machine bans, ban on free distribution and substantial discounts. It will highlight which other Regulations will be repealed on this date.

 

Fixed Penalty Notice:
Monday 12 October 10.00 - 11.00

This session for officers will explain what offences can now be dealt with by Fixed penalty Notices, and review how to use the Fixed Penalty Notices templates on Regulator's Companion.  It will also cover wheat the options are if the trader decides to challenge or not pay. 

Underage Sales:
Thursday 15 October 10.00 - 11.00

This session for Officers will cover what the Statutory Instrument on Age Verification introduces (Note this date may need to be moved depending on trainers seeing the requirements)

 

Reasonable Steps:
Wednesday 28 October 10.00 - 11.00

This session for Officers will cover what the courts may see as “reasonable steps” by a business being prosecuted for an underage sales offence
