TSI welcomes trading standards champion, Lynn Faulds Wood, to product safety review

The Trading Standards Institute welcomes consumer and trading standards champion Lynn Faulds Wood's appointment to lead a review of the UK's system for the recall of unsafe products. 

As a journalist, broadcaster and frequent face at TSI conferences, Wood has ardently devoted her career to fighting for consumers, good businesses and supporting the trading standards profession.

The review announced by the Department of Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) on how the UK can make product recalls more effective is a positive step forward to improve product safety in the UK. As part of this role, Wood will also assess the recall process and how it might work better for consumers.  

TSI welcomes the government's decision to look into the recall of unsafe products. BIS encourages consumers and businesses to get in touch about their experiences with consumer product recalls. Views should be sent by email to [email protected]
